Maddie Castle: A Novella
Before The Handler, Maddie Castle is still a Pittsburgh K-9 patrol officer, working with her dog Bear and planning her wedding. Cake tasting gives way to a call connected to a rural Pennsylvania farmhouse and a reported home invasion. The novella visits Maddie’s earlier life as an ordinary personal milestone is interrupted by a homicide investigation, with the partner and future she knows still beside her.
Where This Book Fits
This is the separate Maddie Castle prequel novella. The Handler begins the numbered main novels. Keep the novella outside that sequence when choosing editions or tracking the books you have read.
