A Much Needed Jack Noble Update!

It’s hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day of the month. Even harder to believe that Beyond Betrayal was released two-and-a-half months ago (and is still hanging around the top 500 books on Amazon!). I fully expected to have Noble Intentions: Season Four completed by now, and in the hands of editing.

Didn’t quite work out that way.

Why?

Glad you asked. I introduced a new character in Season Four. Let’s call him… oh, I don’t know… Brett. Any character in Jack’s world is going to serve one of three purposes. On his side, in his way, or out to get him. While I won’t give away which of those pertains to Brett, I will say that there is a history between the two men.

An unwritten history.

So, I set out to create some back story and quickly realized there was just too much. Like, way too much. I then received a revelation whereupon I said to myself, “Self, you must create a story about this past event where Jack and Brett crossed paths.”

And that’s what I did. I tried to convince myself it would be a short story.

Nope. That was never going to happen.

But a novella, that’s doable, right. Right?

Welllllllll….

It grew past novella stage. And more characters popped in for a visit: Clarissa, Charles, the Old Man, Pierre. Before I knew it, I had a full blown novel on my hands.

And so, after a packed house at the holidays (some twelve people and six dogs), MY dog nearly dying from an intestinal disorder, and now Snowmergedden ravaging the Atlanta metro area and shutting down school for the balance of the week, I am nearly done with this book tentatively titled Thin Line.

Unless the editors and beta readers hate it.

I pray they don’t hate it.

And so, while Thin Line (which might not end up being the title, so hold off on searching Amazon non-stop for it – anyway, if you’re signed up for the mailing list, you’ll be one of the first to know) is off being edited, which will happen sometime next week, I’ll return to writing Season Four.

And I am really excited about that.

If all goes according to plan, Thin Line (insert title disclaimer again) will be out in February, and Season Four will be available by April, give or take a couple weeks.

Stay tuned to this space for a sampling of what the new book has in store 🙂

    1. There’s another one waiting for you, Jacque. Never Go Home is a Jack Noble novel that takes place immediately following the events of Season Three. Hopefully that holds you over until these next two are released.

    1. 2″ of mayhem, indeed. If only daycare had remained open the past two days, more writing would have been accomplished. Fun times with the little one, though. The book can wait an extra day or two 🙂

  1. I have a new love interest and his name is Jack Noble. I just discovered him and can’t get enough. In the past 3 weeks I’ve read every Jack Noble book as well as beyond betrayal and can’t get enough. I’m anxiously awaiting season 4! I also just read a book called “the assassin” and was constantly thinking how jack noble would handle certain situations haha! Thank you L T Ryan for giving us these exciting thrillers!

And the romantic in me is wondering if Jack and Clarissa will ever be together again!

    1. Can’t ask for more than Jack Noble remaining on your mind even while reading another book. Thin Line is almost done. Once I ship that off for editing, I’ll dive back into Season Four and get that wrapped up. Good times (hopefully) ahead for Jack and crew.

Jack and Clarissa….will those paths cross again? Time will tell 🙂
